Karaoke Revolution Glee Bundle - Nintendo Wii (Microphone Bundle) Reviews

I was so excited to get this game - I'm a huge fan of Glee, I love karaoke, and I've loved all the other Karaoke Revolution games - so I thought, "what could be better?!" Well, for starters, I was sorely disappointed that there's no way to turn off the lead vocals so it's a sing-along as opposed to karaoke. Next, the song selection was not that great - I initially went through all the songs I liked in the first 30 minutes - now I'm left trying to "beat" songs like Gold Digger, Bust a Move, and various mashups. Finally, while it's fun to watch the clips from the show - they're really not that great - especially since in the show, they don't air the song in its entirety so what happens in the game is they loop the video and the same scenes are repeated. For a game that cost more than fifty dollars, I expected more. It should have included more than just the 20-something songs this game has, have more customizable options, and at least been as fun and interesting as previous versions of Karaoke Revolution.

You can't turn the lead vocals off. That's not karaoke. The song selection isn't so good either. Season 1 had a lot of songs to choose from and what they pick for this game is not exactly the cream of the crop despite some familiar favorites like "Don't Stop Believing" and "I'm Telling You." I expect more for both Glee and Karaoke Revolution. This game was a huge let down.

Let me start by saying I LOVE Glee and was super psyched for this game. Most of the songs are from the first half of the first season, and there's no capability for downloadable content. The song selection is awfully small; this game has the vibe that someone wanted it pushed out quickly so they could start making money off of it. I would advise NOT buying this game, and waiting for a sequel release, which will hopefully include songs from ALL of season 1 (and hopefully season 2!) and have an option for downloadable content.

The game should be called "Glee: Sing Along". You basically watch a scene from the show, and sing along with the characters. You cannot turn off the vocals and sing to just music. I agree with other reviewers; it's NOT karaoke.
